Hairy MaclaryTuesday May 2, 2006

On May 2 Books Illustrated had a wonderful visitor from New Zealand.

Lynley Dodd, creator of the well-loved books about Hairy Maclary and his animal friends, spent a few wonderful hours meeting visitors and fans - young and old.

So, we now have some (dwindling fast) signed books available.

Dimity DumptySunday April 9, 2006

A happy day with Bob Graham celebrating his new picture book, Dimity Dumpty, on Sunday, April 9.

To open, Mandy Cooper read us the story. Then we all watched, entranced as Bob drew a picture of Dimity playing her flute.

Later, while Bob signed books and books, those not in the queue decorated eggs and made Easter cards.

And everyone went away whistling!
