Stephen loves art and books and knew from an early age that he had to be a children’s book illustrator and author. Working mainly in watercolour with pen and ink, his fresh, fluid brush and line work bring his characters to life.

His first picture book, `The Man Who Loved Boxes` published in 1996, won the Family Award for Children’s Books, and was short-listed in the Crichton Award for Children’s Book Illustration. Other popular titles include: `Mutt the Dog`; `Leaf`; `Mille, Jack and the Dancing Cat`; `Patricia`; and `Henry & Amy`.
